Unit#10 the time as come

Psychological (7) from my first number of (5) due to my lack of empowering material and surrounding; I’ve since then increase my daily reading and listening of motivational books and material. They empower me to reach for more from myself. To set goals and work towards them without fear and doubt. Spiritual (7) before (5) I’m now reading my bible scriptures daily and attending church services and praying more often. My physical (6) when compared to my (2) at the beginning of this course; I have more energy now than ever before. Even before the start of this course, I’m up early and feel good about it. I started working out and I’m seeing the results! Overall I’m now more conscious of what was and what might be the cause of a present problem in my life.

Well one my goals were to start yoga, meditation and develop a well-toned body. I’m proud to say I’m legs are so define I look down at them and smile every chance I get. Meditation is fun, visualization is energetic ever session. I still need to start my yoga session, but I am going to do so.

My health as improved over 60% just by the information and the mind simulation I’ve received through this course. I’m now able to identify when someone is brining negative energy into my surrounding. I will then stop them and address other alternative to solve they negative emitting of energy. This has been my reward, just being able to identify and know what feels bad and change the frequencies before it consumes me.

Integral Health: Something so Beautiful Unit #9

Integral health and its many teachers will eventually spark a fire, spread a virus and create such a health epidemic that before long the entire human population will be consumed. But this can only be done through show and tell of practitioner practicing what they preach. The old saying that goes “misery Loves Company” will never be present in the room when the practitioner rest in a place of wholeness. Wholeness on all levels mind, body and spirit this speaks to their credibility. You should never find a teacher speaking of proper maintenance of the body and in return they are overweight and struggling to keep it under control. Nor should you find them using words such as “I’m stressed out” this speak to lack within their spiritual life. They should never say there are too many things being moved around within their minds for them to concentrate on what’s present.  All these things damage their credibility with clients. But on the other hand the healthcare professional that emits positive energy of peace and calmness through their walking, talking and living each area out to its fullest extent in their lives; will in turn show they have mastered integral health within.

Knowledge is power and the lack thereof can be crippling. Gathering all the information there is to learn about a particular field and then do nothing with it damaging.  Knowledge without application is useless.  Before this course never in a million year would I know or even think the mind had so much power over the body. This being said my personal goal is to conquer and control my mind from its every day rein over my life. From its allowing moment of high hope to ever promising reflection of pain. I plan on continuing my physical session of working out to keep the body alert, constant reading of my bible verse each day and using meditation and visualization to calm the mind.  But I don’t plan on being selfish with this information at all. My personal goal is to bring my 15 year old daughter into the light; freedom from being a salve of the mind.

Assessment of Mind, Body and Spirit

1.      I’m not pleased

2.      Trying, needs more work

3.      At goal

4.      Above what I’ve expected

5.      Doing exceptionally well.

Mind: Presently I would give myself (3) at goal as I continue to uncover the vast amount of knowledge the mind can process and how well it controls my life. I know I will get to (4) above what I’ve expected within the next thirty to sixty days with all the different exercise I’ve set in place. But (5) doing exceptionally well I feel will be a journey of mastering the mind in all areas; to the point where nothing moves me, either by self-inflict, immediate family or social influences.

Body: I’m struggling, I’m not where I used to be, but(1)  I’m not pleased with here I’m at. I was placed on retrains by my doctors so once that’s lifted fully my goal for my body is to be (5) doing exceptionally well. This area I know takes commitment and hard work; but to have Tina Turner leg, BeyoncĂ©’s Butt and Angela Basset arms won’t come by chance. Only with hard work and being discipline will I ever get that back. (Yes I was there less than a year ago) I felt so good about myself then, this is why I must get back there.

Spirit:  (4) Above what I’ve expected with spiritual life. I grew up with certain belief that have not changed but grown stronger throughout this course and since my injury. At times when my world seems as though it had ended my only rescue was found in my spiritual walk. Even though there is a ways to go for (5) doing exceptionally well; because there were moments when I stop praying. But I never did stop believing.

Future goal for developing the Mind, Body and Spirit

Mind: Developing the mind each day I’ve decided to make it my point of duty to listen motivational speakers such as Tony Robbins, Earl Nightingale, Les Brown, Lisa Nichols, Joel Osteen and many others the list is endless once you type a name in the search brings up many others.  I have given up on watching the television, only briefly for the weather channel. I am now practicing to witnessing my mind, I even stop to ask myself “what am I thinking of” several times throughout the day. This has helped with preventing me from drifting off into negative self –talk. My goal is to control my mind and create the paradigm shift I’m longing for; which is to live a richer, fuller life from within.

Body:  My plan starts with first eating a healthy meal on time each day. I am going to set out a nutritional plan that follows the right portion of daily in-take on vegetable, fruits, less meat; because truly feel it slows my body done. Then drinking more water and less tea; my life is consumed with drinking hot tea for breakfast, for lunch and if I’m not careful it will be for dinner as well. I sometimes forget to eat!

Spirit: Presently I attend church service once a week. I’m decided to start volunteering at the early service then sitting in on the second service. I have found that giving is connected to my spiritual being in the sense that when I give I’m uplifted and it makes me feel Happy.

Strategy to Improve Self

Psychology Growth: my psychology growth has greatly improved with daily meditation. I have started off doing five minutes at the beginning of this course now I’m up to twenty minutes a day. I have named a room in my home “mommy zone” under no circumstance are kids allowed. The second thing I’ve implemented is a vision board. Great for visualization, I spend at least ten to fifteen minutes seeing myself being and having everything on my board. This I must say brought a sense of happiness back to my life I never knew exist.

Spiritual Growth:  I have devoted each morning to reading a verse from the bible.  Reading each day is done in my “mommy zone” with my comfortable chair, windows open bringing the break of the sunlight in; the peace to felt and “no kids” around! Then once I’m done I’m off to reading for another fifteen to thirty minutes of something motivational. If not I’m listening to one of my audio books. Ever since the past four weeks of class, I’ve purchased more than eight audio books and text books.

Physical Growth: Well this is area I’ve always wanted to improve and I’ve started to take short walks with my kids around the block. I’ve calculated this distance to show if I walk by my house twice then I would have walked a mile. This has always been a goal of mind to walk, and then run a mile each day. Another way I’m improving my physical is by implementing daily squats.

Commitment: I’ve learnt that there is power in numbers. So my commitment is not just to myself but to the die-hard health freaks I’ve partner with on this journey. I’m now a member of Fusion Fitness; my meditation has now gone to group session in the morning. Never in a million years would I be caught leaving my home at 5:45am unless it was a trip to the airport. Now I’m no pain in my body or talk of being tired can stop me, because I know a group of people will be calling and looking for me if I’m not living up to my end of the bargain. Another person who will keep me in check is my daughter, who’s on the track team at her school.

Conclusion: Here and now, the place I’ve found myself is so surreal. I’m singing, “I wish that I could have this moment for life”.  But I can and I will, I’ve discovered that I am the master of my faith, of my path in life. I can sit by and allow it to keep on happening to me or I can get up and be the architect of my life; creating something so beautiful as I go along. And with God willing this is what I am doing and will continue to do with my new found energy for life. Integral health in my opinion is journey toward self-commitment.  The kind of commitment that I must take so serious it calculate to life or death; and seeing what I know of living I would like to continue living. Because if I don’t live a life that fosters integral health then death will be an early option; so I chose to have fun with my new found life and live, but just live, but to have a life of living healthy, while experiencing happiness and wholeness from within.

Unit #8

I was not able to choose between loving kindness, subtle, mind , visualization and meditation so I’m going to incorporate them all so we’ll see how it has changed my life thus far. Loving kindness, when I send a text or call a friend or family member to “say I wanted you to know someone thought of you today and that someone was me”. It brings a smile to their faces and in return it brings a smile back to mind. Subtle mind, allows me to acknowledge the random thoughts I’m pulling towards every waken minute of the day. Within visualization I’ve first started with cutting pictures from magazines and I have successful made my vision board. When in meditation I consciously focus my thoughts toward a specific thing and visualize it to its fullest being.  This is how I’m using all the above to renew my mind and body daily!

Unit #7 Blog

Okay so for this week’s mediation I was a bit  lost it didn’t really take me out of myself like the others did. I tried to focus on someone I thought of as a teacher and "Oprah Whifrey" came to mind. She didn’t stay for long because I wasn’t really able to get focus on her life and what I’ve learnt. So I changed to the ones that had the most impact on my life thus far, subtle mind and loving kindness. Whenever I focus my energy inward, following the direction and sounds it is as though I’m in this deep sleep in a cabin on the mountain top. Wind blowing and the windows open allow life to flow feeling throughout the cabin. These past weeks I’ve felt my energy going from I’m lost and feeling down to I feel alive, there is healing within my body. I smile more and move about more than I did before! I will continue to do mediation; actually I’ve gone and signed up for classes!!!!!!!!

This is funny as to the importance of professional walking the walk; because I remember asking a marriage counselor this question. I asked her if she had ever been marriage before, she stood listen for a moment then said no. I in return said until you have walked a mile in my shoe you can’t really counsel me on being  married, so please tell me of the books you have read so I can go and read them for myself. This is the same when it comes to holistic healthcare professionals; they need to practice what they preach. If their life is out of alignment how can they guide you to a point of wholeness if they have not the nearest clue what that is!

Unit #6 Blog

When comparing loving kindness against integral assessment I came up with the results being, loving kindness was more centered on giving onto others. Extracting ourselves from the equation all together; but on the other hand, integral assessment brought me back to look internally (more intrinsic) to produce results. It speaks to areas of personal development.

As far as areas of opportunity to use what I’ve learnt so far?  I discovered it would benefit me in becoming a better listener. At times I tend to jump the gun on some things. Saying to myself “this sound like something I’ve heard before so it should be it” and I’ll treat the situation and the person with the same attitude when this maybe far from the truth. So to implement what I’ve learnt, I will start by using the loving kindness exercise a bit more. I’ve also decided to not stand when speaking to an individual but rather sit to show them I’m actually giving them time and time to listen to what they have to say.

Unit#5 Subtle mind

Well looking back on Loving Kindness exercise and comparing subtle mind I must say I found loving kindness a bit enlightening over the subtle mind. Reason for this, the long pause and connecting with the mind feeling its every move was somewhat painful for me. It took me to places where I really didn’t want to go or remember. Loving Kindness was okay for me, I was able to identify with the exercise. But I learnt that I don’t have to go off with my mind; but acknowledge my thoughts and bring my attention back to the present.

Spiritual wellness for me is reading my bible or a scripture each day. This helps with my mental awareness, boost my confidence levels which in turn uplift my physical wellness on a day to day bases.

Unit #4 Loving Kindness, mental workout

I found this experience to be an eye opener in the sense that I really don’t take enough time for me. It’s almost as though I feel guilty trying to sit, lay and relax for 15 minutes. I feel as though I should be doing something. Or due to my health issues I’m already in a place of not doing that much so to stop and take yet more time it’s like really asking for too much. This is where I know I beat up on myself, way too much. So this exercise for me was a bit difficult, even though I’m able to identity with the benefits. I would most certainly recommend this to others. It’s the relax, stop and smell the roses once in a while that most people miss out on. Mental workout in my understanding is stages in which we develop the mind. Just as though we workout the physical body we need to do the same for the mental element of the whole (self). The benefit is that we get to flourish/evolve within our psychospiritual life (Dacher, 2006). I can focus on using "mental workout" as intake of positive reinforcement for my mind on levels of consciousness and unity from within to "train and tame the mind"( Dacher, 2006). Take time to love on me, to in return be able to give love to others.

Unit#2 Welcome and reflective

Hello Everyone,

Isn't it great to know that we are now able to communicate with each others within seconds of our thoughts? All thanks goes to the great minds of the past who dare to dream, and just to dream but dream big; big enough to change your life and mine. I'm learning each day how to navigate various websites because of them. Developing this blog, as easy as it now seems to maneuver, at first it felt like I was losing my mind. It felt as though professor had sent out to go and move one of the national monuments! But I'm loving the challenge it brings, because around very corner I can say I completed the task and learnt something new.

Reflecting on our listening material I must say It took me to a place of peace. A place I never knew excited with a 14yr and a 3yr old under the same roof. I never knew I was able to speak/tell my body to relax and it would go into a state of relaxation. I actually felt the blood as it moved through my body. The tingling sensation throughout my arms and legs; they felt alive for the first time. Well that's outside of watching them move me about each day! I do hope these upcoming weeks become more and more enlightening and empowering for us all.

See you soon Recca!

Unit#3 self assessment

My physical wellbeing is suffering at the moment. One, due to medications and its inflicting limitations and two, when I had the opportunity to take full control over it, I didn’t. I always wanted to (and still will, in the near future run at least a mile a day) or ride a bike ten miles to the beach. Spiritually I see myself as being young, I’m still seeking, searching to know and understand more about what is or should be. So I’m just not following family tradition. As to my psychological well-being, at the moment it is a bit troubled. I have not developed or find that balance as of yet. I have not fully learned to acknowledge the mind and its thoughts, then not allowing it to take me over and disrupt my present state or demeanor.

My goal which I’ve already started on to develop in all three areas is: Daily while brushing my teeth in my mornings, I’ve start to do 20 squats within that 2-3 minutes of brushing my teeth. Spiritually I’m listening and reading to more messages every morning. I’ve also incorporated some “me and my mind time” to acknowledge how I’m feeling in that moment. Then psychological I’m practicing positive self-talk; while also listening to positive things from motivational speakers.

After completing the relaxation exercise I feel more empowered to follow through on the path I’m on with self-acknowledgement and the small baby step towards recovery. So I would say it was very beneficial! It helped me to know I belong, I deserve, and that I’m creating my balance, with every waken day that I continue to feed positive images and thoughts and messages to my mind.

Just Keep Moving

Today I was at a crossroad in my life.  For the first time ever I didn't know, nor wanted to know if I was coming or going.
