I found this experience to be an
eye opener in the sense that I really don’t take enough time for me. It’s
almost as though I feel guilty trying to sit, lay and relax for 15 minutes. I
feel as though I should be doing something. Or due to my health issues I’m
already in a place of not doing that much so to stop and take yet more time it’s
like really asking for too much. This is where I know I beat up on myself, way
too much. So this exercise for me was a bit difficult, even though I’m able to identity
with the benefits. I would most certainly recommend this to others. It’s the relax,
stop and smell the roses once in a while that most people miss out on. Mental
workout in my understanding is stages in which we develop the mind. Just as
though we workout the physical body we need to do the same for the mental
element of the whole (self). The benefit is that we get to flourish/evolve
within our psychospiritual life (Dacher, 2006). I can focus on using
"mental workout" as intake of positive reinforcement for my mind on levels of consciousness and unity from within to "train and tame the mind"( Dacher, 2006). Take time to
love on me, to in return be able to give love to others.
